Reflections

Amidst all the bitching that's been going on in this blog, I thought I'll post something which would serve the blog's purpose. This post is about how my first year at hostel influenced me. I came to SPS hostel, all nervous, on July 1, 2008. No kidding, but I was determined not to miss home and ppl. In other words, I was a total asshole in school who had all weird ideas, who thought that being cold, impassive and detached was cool. Hostel life taught me something different. It taught me how important ppl are. I met the best of my friends, spent unforgettable times with them. They're the ones who helped me discover myself, and showed me the fun side of life. Formed a secret society called V4; the other esteemed members being Santy, Kaudy and Vishak. Kaudy came up with this motto : "Asingapatta expressiona maathakoodadhu". Lol Lol!

The bad food, no water, crappy wifi, strict rules....all showed me the tough side of life and taught me to look at the positives. Late night movies, revelling in the genius of Sam Anderson(THE GOD), so many laughs, sleepy mornings on the days of semester exams, Carpe Diem, cricket and football in Central wing, the student strike, Kuruksastra, bitter tears towards the end of the year; first year of college was literally a roller coaster ride for me! Life has moved on now, to more important things, but the memories will remain forever. Thanks to all the people who made it happen. Hostel life truly rocks!

Now, let's stop the bitching and post fun stuff. Thought I'll start with this tribute .

Four Flush

Back to GNV ..
Few months back the good old GNV notice board had a note saying that SASTRA has the biggest wi-fi installation in Asia-Pacific (FYI Asia-Pacific includes Singapore !) .. guess it really means as follows :

SASTRA has the biggest (screwed-up) wi-fi installation in Asia-Pacific.

Consider yourself lucky if this post made it through and you could read this .. cheers !!
